Carl Wunsche Sr. High School Culinary Arts Program

Led by celebrated Chef Robert Holloway, the Wunsche High School Culinary Arts Program is a rigorous and innovative career pathway development program which prepares high school students to serve in a variety of culinary arts roles upon graduation. This program is the only high school culinary program in Texas to receive certification by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation, a pinnacle in the field of culinary arts, as a collegiate-level program.

The program incorporates culinary instruction in a fully operational commercial-grade kitchen that has the ability to prepare meals for hundreds of people. Students gain valuable field experiences through working at district catering events; in the Log-on Café, a barista located on the Wunsche campus; in area fine-dining restaurants; and at local cook-offs and fair competitions; and at community events.

A Sweet Intent

A Sweet Intent is the ambitious venture of three sisters. We are delighted to welcome them as a sponsor. In their own words:

“We chose the name A Sweet Intent not just because we intend to create something sweet in taste, but because we intend to spread good and positive energy in any way we can. Our intent is to spread goodness at least once a month through ‘Sweet Intents’. As our company grows so will our ‘Sweet Intents’!

Our recipes come from generations of great cooks, friends, and our own experimentation! We use only high quality ingredients in all of our confections. Pure Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, fine European and American chocolates, sweet cream butter, fresh fruits, and attention to detail are staples in our kitchen. We create our handcrafted goods in small batches to ensure consistency and great taste. We bake a variety of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, breads, pastries, and many other sweets. We also offer many vegan options. All of our designs thus far have had a wow factor. Whatever the occasion, our products will taste as good as they look!”>>>
